Gabriel Iduseri Humanitarian Foundation (a.k.a) Gabros Foundation is a non profit, non governmental humanitarian foundation situated in the Niga Delta, Southern South Nigeria. The foundation is born out of the need to reach out to the less privilege, the down trodden, rejected, dejected, neglected; destitudes, the sick and the poor through support programmes inline with the sustainable development goals. Drawing from global poverty index, African ranks amongst the poorest nationas in the world, with a large number of the people living below the poverty line of less than a dollar. Nigeria is not excluded in this index, and Benin City where Gabros Iduseri Humanitarian Foundation is situated is faced with this hydra- headed monster called POVERTY.

Over the years, the Foundation has embarked on several poverty allocation campaigns and have gone all out to distribute relief materials such as cash donations, food items, paid medical bills for those who could not afford to do so, thereby bringing joy, hope and laughter to many homes. The Gabros Iduseri Humanitarian Foundation is a support system and channel through which God is using to touch lives in Africa, Benin City, Nigeria.

Aims

We are a support system to the less privileged, and we promote Sustainable Development in Africa, Nigeria in general and Benin City, Edo State in particular.

Objectives

Our focus is tied to some of the items in the sustainable development goals with focus on communities in Nigeria at large, Benin City in particular.

• Implement long-term transformational programmes focused on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment of the underprivileged communities

• Collaborate with well meaning humanitarian foundations to provide support, relief materials, healthcare, shelter, food and water to the less privileged.

• Advocate for the rights of vulnerable groups, including women, children, and minorities, through legal support and public awareness campaigns.

• Develop and support community-based initiatives that strengthens local capacity to withstand and recover from crises, such as insurgency, hunger, and epidemic.

• Facilitate community dialogue and peacebuilding efforts in areas affected by conflict or social tensions.

• Provide access to quality education for children and adults in underprevilaged communities, including the construction of schools and provision of educational materials.

• Support vocational training and that enables individuals to acquire skills for self-reliance and employment.

• Promote environmental conservation and sustainable practices within communities, including reforestation, waste management, and renewable energy projects.

• Raise awareness about the impacts of climate change and advocate for policies that protect the environment and support vulnerable populations.

• Implement programs that empowers Youths, Men/women, girls/ boys, focusing on education, economic opportunities, and protection from violence and discrimination.

• Advocate for gender-sensitive policies and practices within communities in Benin City, Edo State and it's environs.

• Engage in knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives with partners to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of community based programmes in Nigeria, Benin City in particular.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate programs to ensure they are meeting their objectives and delivering the intended impact.
